Preparing for Bible Study
Whether a private Bible Study or a group Bible Study, I always begin by reciting The Apostle's Creed. These statements are the basis of my personal faith. Everything else is up for question, debate, and discussion.
Perhaps you are not at this point in your relationship with God. Perhaps you doubt the
miraculous birth of Jesus, or question the resurrection of Christ. I hope you do not use those doubts to completely dismiss the study of Jesus and His message.
In like manner, perhaps you have experienced judgment and/or condemnation by a church.
Maybe you have heard of positions or beliefs of the church that totally turn you off to religion.
Maybe that position is not really in keeping with the teachings of Jesus. Or Paul.
If you have questions, ask them. I think you will find many others have the same questions and concerns.
My hope is some of those issues will be addressed in these Bible Studies.

The Apostles Creed:
I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
